i have been busy painting. To tell the truth, I’m not much of a painter. I sketch and draw from real life but, for me, painting requires more whimsy, more freedom of imagination that I find hard to achieve with pen and ink. What spurred me into painting was a sudden realization that I wanted to try glow-in-the-dark things. Haha. So here is my second painting, which I’m really quite fond of, since I didn’t think I could manage the dreamy, misty feel. Below is the glow-in-the-dark version.

I Found My Thrill

 

I’ve been working on more retro signs. I just finished this blueberry sign on wood. In a few weeks, blueberry picking season will be upon us and I’m ready!

Red Jewels

Strawberries are in season so today we went strawberry picking at a local farm. Such pretty little treasures that glow brightly beneath emerald leaves. It was fun trying to hunt out the biggest, juiciest, ripest, berry. It also gave me the inspiration to make my very own vintage strawberry picking sign on a plank of wood.
